Wednesday, June 18, 2008 (Hong Kong)

His vegetarianism has won him a new status- Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is now 'Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian Man' for 2008. A poll by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has chosen Bachchan or Big B for the top male slot and Hong Kong's singer-actress Faye Wong as Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian Woman for this year.

While 65-year-old Bachchan has dominated the silver screen in India for nearly four decades, Wong, known as the ''diva of Asia'', has graced the covers of leading lifestyle magazines like 'Vogue', 'Elle' and 'Marie Claire', in addition to having a successful musical career.

Runners-up in the competition included Taiwanese stage artist Barbie Xu, Hong Kong's popular actress Maggie Q and Cantopop singer and actress Stephy Tang, according to a statement posted on the PETA Asia-Pacific portal.

''Going vegetarian is the best thing you can do for animals, the Earth and your health. Plus, there's no easier way stay slim and sexy- and Faye and Amitabh are living proof,'' PETA South Asia Director Jason Baker told the media. Outside the Asian continent, pop star Leona Lewis, singer Chris Martin and TV show host Russell Brand were among the celebrities who were voted as sexiest veggies.

KJo-Sajid rock at Zee Cine Awards

Article by Buzz18.com

By the time one gets set to watch the third major award function of the year (we aren't even counting the ones that get launched each year and don't last more than a season), it's pretty much clear, who all going to bag the trophies. And this year's Zee Cine Awards were no different.

Chak De! India and Taare Zameen Par shared the top honours, while Guru, Om Shanti Om and Jab We Met shared the rest. But if that's the case what makes award functions tick? A true Bollywood fan will tell you that there's nothing to beat the sight of seeing all your favourite stars under one roof. And with Bollywood's ever improving style quotient, the stars also make the effort to turn up in their glam best.

But in recent years, stage performances and celeb compeers have become the main draw. Like most recent shows this one too was designed for the television audiences. So, out go the long acceptance speeches and thank you sessions.

The awards in fact looked like fillers for an extended Bollywood concert. Among the front-benchers were Shah Rukh-Gauri, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, the RK family including Karisma and Sanjay Kapur and Rekha. Ranbir and Deepika sat separately and dedicated their debut awards to each other. Arjun Rampal was visibly emotional while collecting his Best Villain trophy for OSO. While Rahman also made a surprise appearance to collect his Guru award. But there were some pointless trophies like the Style Icon one for SRK (even he didn't know how to react) or the Fun Entertainer of the Year for Riteish Deshmukh.

Neil Nitin Mukesh who has been losing out to Ranbir, got a jury award for his unconventional debut. The opening act was by Zee's reality show winners who paid a tribute to the senior citizens of the industry by singing some evergreen numbers. Things picked up with the entry of Sajid Khan and Karan Johar.

Initially their smart talk looked like a poor imitation of the SRK-Saif banter at the Filmfare awards. But gradually the duo came into their own. The two however promised to leave RGV and Ranbir Kapoor's towel dance out of their jokes. The Filmfare awards might have offended many industry folks, but there seems to be no place for spoilt sports in Bollywood.

KJo and Sajid went all out to pull everyone's leg and perhaps with very passing year even stars have learnt to laugh at themselves. The highlight was of course Karan's dig Lara's alleged romance with Dino. He said, "Lara's favourite song has to be the Metro number In Dino, Aye Dino".

And when Sajid wanted to dedicate the Qurbani song "Aap Jaisa Koi" to Riteish Deshmukh, Karan stopped him saying, "Don't sing for Riteish, they'll start believing the rumours".

The performances were kicked off by Vidya Balan - who might have the hit songs, but certainly lacks the grace or body to carry an act on her shoulders. For pointers she should have checked out Katrina Kaif's sizzling Race medley. We don't know about acting skills but as far as dancing goes Kat is getting better with each performance.

Saif has now become a pro at stage shows. He can just sleepwalk through any performance with his trademark moves and guitar strumming. The biggest crowd puller was without doubt SRK, who came on stage in a swanky car and danced to the OSO title song. Soon he was joined by Saif and Kareena. And the three did a hilarious love triangle on stage with SRK being the other guy in Saifeena's life.

Soon they were joined by Katrina, Arjun Rampal, Dia Mirza, Minissha Lamba, Neha Dhupia, Chunkey Pandey and even Gulshan Grover. With more than a dozen stars on stage, Shah Rukh once again asserted the changing power equations in the industry. Even good friends Karan and Sajid did their bit by crowning Gauri as the Queen Khan.

Though everyone from Dimple to Deepika were there, some prominent absentees were – Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rani Mukerji and the Bachchans – who seem to have developed an award phobia this year.

All in all the Zee Cine Awards made for perfect weekend tele viewing. It was like a Bollywood blockbuster with a bit of everything. The winners were same and the format was predictable, but who cares as long as we have the song n dance!

SRK laughs off dog-blog reference

Article from Buzz18.com

Aamir Khan caught everyone's attention with his blog entry on Shahrukh, his dog, Shah Rukh Khan, the actor reacted to the dog-blog controversy. And here's what he had to say:

"Moving towards blogs is a way towards joining the journalist fraternity, I love journalists but I am an actor and would like to keep it that way."

Shah Rukh Khan said he chooses not to blog in reaction to Aamir Khan's recent blog entry that talks about a Shah Rukh licking his feet. This is what Aamir wrote in his blog - "Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?"

While Aamir goes on to confirm that he's not referring to the King Khan but a dog named Shahrukh that belongs to the caretakers of his Panchgani home, there were other references.

Read between the lines - "Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shah Rukh's to want to do that."

But it seems like the King Khan is taking it all in his stride.

He said, "Hum log humumar hai — main, Salman, Aamir. Aur hum jab milte hain toh is se bhi ajeeb batein karte hai. (All three of us — Salman, Aamir and I are the same age and when we meet, we talk stranger stuff than this.) I have to take it with a sense of humour and I do have a sense of humour. If I can do it with others, then I should accept it."

Well, that's the last word on the dog-blog controversy for now.

Leave Amitabh Bachchan alone

Article taken from Rediff.com

Surfing for some decent entertainment on the idiot box can be quite a struggle. Like I keep discovering every time I have the remote control all to myself. The other day, after flipping through dragging soaps, lousy reality shows, multiple 'Breaking News', cute-to-the-point-of-irritating Vodafone ads, not-my-idea-of-fun IPL matches, dedicated reportage to The Great Khalli and abusive Roadies, I shifted my focus to the Hindi films scene.

And what a welcome change it turned out to be. Almost every second channel was playing an Amitabh Bachchan [Images] movie, preferably from the 1970s.

A severely bandaged Amitabh plays inaudibly sick to gain nurse Hema Malini's [Images] hard-to-get affections only to get the hollering of his unkempt life in Satte Pe Satta. A super cool Amitabh shirking the advances of a red-hot Helen in Don.

An aww-inducing Amitabh's absolute refusal to become a man of the world while cuddling up to his adorable Daddoo in Namak Halal.

An overwhelmed Amitabh is more than happy to accept Rati Agnihotri's [Images] help in draining all the water logging mess before breaking into Accident Ho Gaya, Rabba Rabba in Coolie. The mere memory of these flashes is overpowering enough to bring a nostalgic smile on the 1970s (or 1980s for that matter) smitten viewer. The best part is, even though television is bursting with new channels every month with nothing substantial to offer, the tradition of airing AB flicks over the weekend remains unaffected. Truth be told, these movie-themed channels practically thrive on Bachchan bonanzas. And why not? The man's an entire library of blockbusters on his own. From Zanjeer to Eklavya, the anger lives on.

No matter how many times I watch these films, they only get better in my eyes. Familiarity doesn't have to necessarily breed contempt. Often they are a comforting reminder of the good old days, of the mall and mobile free moments which reveled in the smell of samosa and AB's roaring baritone.

That's why it strikes me as particularly caustic when someone states/suggests that it's time for the man to hang his boots. Recently, a glossy carried a story about director Anurag Basu (Gangster [Images], Murder, Life In A... Metro) making statements in similar vein on how the Bhoothnath star should now 'gracefully retire.'

I don't know if Basu was misquoted, but even if I give him the benefit of doubt, whoever wrote it, obviously, feels that way. The actor published a suitable reply on his blog -- a superb forum of exclusive and unadulterated AB thoughts. His enthusiasm reminds me of the first-effects of blogging, I or you, may have encountered in our initial phase almost half a decade ago.

Here's a reproduction of what he wrote in response to Basu: 'I took no one's advice when I wanted to enter the film industry and shall take no one's advice, as to when I should leave it!' Go AB!And yet I cannot stop myself from thinking about Basu/or whomsoever's not-so-graceful suggestion. My first angry reaction is 'Who are you to decide that?' It's a valid question, don't you think?

I think of my fast-nearing senior citizenship cook, who shudders at the prospect of idling at home and twiddling her thumbs. Her working sons are well-equipped to take care of all her needs. But she enjoys her job and wants to continue, despite a nagging foot-ache. There are days when she is the best chef in town. On others, the food she makes is blandness personified.

Does that mean she should retire? I think of the 80-plus Dev Anand [Images], who hasn't made a single memorable film in so many years. But that hasn't stopped us from addressing him as a 'Legend'. His movies might fail at the box office but his enthusiasm is to die for. Try reading his autobiography, Romancing With Life, a rollicking account of his adventures and anecdotes. Believe me it's a complete page-turner.

I think of senior Hollywood actors like Clint Eastwood, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sean Connery [Images], Robert Redford, Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I doubt anyone ever asked them to step down even if they were guilty of being repetitive or ridiculous (in their selection) in some of their films. I think of my own mother.

At 62, the idea of an assignment excites her more than a trip to Taj Mahal [Images] (and it's not because she has already seen it a good 121 times). We are born with the basic right of living life on our own terms. A

nd no one has any business interfering, unless it produces fatal results. Where to start? When to stop? These are our personal choices. Democracy doesn't lie in demeaning an individual's prerogative, to keep at it, by making unprovoked comments. The beauty of speech is in the virtue of sensible debate and constructive criticism. It's not always possible that you will enjoy every AB film or performance.

It's eventual failure at the box-office, is clear enough indication/confirmation of that to him/you. But to ask him to fire himself just because he doesn't fulfill your definition of magic is just lame. The relationship of an actor and a fan is akin to one-sided marriage, wherein invisible vows are exchanged. Like in sickness and health and for rich or poor, a true admirer will continue to revere and root for his favourite through hits and flops, good days or bad ones.

Amitabh regales in it. Anurag questions it. But Devsaab understands the mentality behind it. In his inimitable style, he writes: 'I have been working ceaselessly for over 60 years now, with all my creative energies at my command, the excitement of creativity sprouting all the time inside me like so many seedlings, just the way they used to when I first launched myself all those years ago.'

People like Amitabh don't retire. Even if they voluntarily withdraw, their body of work is potent enough to withstand the test of future lifetimes.

Ready for Big B's first film this year?

Article taken from Buzz18.com

As compared to the last few years, the first quarter of this year in Bollywood has shown a pretty dismal picture. Not only have there been limited releases but also very limited hits.

Until March 2008, only Jodhaa Akbar and Race could make a mark. Everyone was anxiously waiting with bated breath for the release of Tashan to break the jinx, but the super flop of the Yash Raj biggie has made matters worse.

Also, in the vacation period, barring BR Chopra's Bhoothnath there is not a single film with a big star cast that can draw the viewers to the theatres. All are now anxiously awaiting the release of Bhoothnath, which is scheduled for a May 9 release.

A few reasons why the audiences are waiting for Bhoothnath are: the summer vacations; a film from the makers of Baghban and Baabul and the fact that Amitabh and Shah Rukh are coming together again after Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, the controversy apart.

Film journalist and critic, Abhijit Mhamunkar feels, "With all its promos specifically targeting kids, Bhoothnath has indeed managed to generate a good interest amongst the bachcha company, which is for long thirsty for a good entertaining film aimed at them. Amitabh Bachchan in a comic role after a long time coupled with some really good special effects in the film may also bring in a lot of footfalls."

"SRK's special appearance is an added bonus. With Tashan proving a dud and nothing else exciting to compete with Bhoothnath, the Bachchan-starrer might prove to be a winner this summer," he adds.

It's Aamir Vs Amitabh Vs Anurag...

Article taken from buzz18.com

Amitabh Bachchan hitting out at Union Health Minister A Ramadoss on the minister's anti-alcohol/smoking lament against him and the B-Town junta on his blog. Aamir Khan justifying his stand on carrying the Olympic torch despite anti-China protests. Shah Rukh Khan taking digs at Pepsi's rival brand Coca Cola and Preity Zinta on the Knight Riders website. These are perhaps just three of the many instances of stars using the internet to make themselves heard, defend their actions and settle personal scores.

The internet as a medium may have been around for quite some time now. But it was not until very recently that its power has dawned upon the B'wood junta.

True
Shah Rukh Khan was one of the earliest entrants into this space when he launched srkworld.com almost a decade and a half ago. But the site has been languishing ever since the dotcom bubble burst. During the release of his film Don, he promised to revive it. We are yet to see the promise being kept.

But with
Amitabh Bachchan now using bigadda as his blogpace, Shah Rukh is not the one to be left behind. The King Khan's blog is much publicised and awaited on his Knight Riders website.
Khan is of course making the most of this opportunity. Even though he hasn't been blogging, Shah Rukh has authored some 'Hoog-Leeisms', ie pearls of wisdom from Riders' mascot Hoog Lee.

One of the comic strips on the site even takes a dig at
Preity Zinta's lack of cricketing knowledge as her caricature says, "David Beckham is my favourite batsman!"

Sush compliments Aamir on fuzz cut

Article taken from Buzz18.com

The Capital witnessed a hair conference with the gorgeous Sushmita Sen and the lady behind Shah Rukh Khan's looks and locks, Dilshad Pastakia.

Actress Sushmita Sen gave some tips on how to have beautiful hair like hers and also revealed who she thought had the best hair in the industry.

From different hair do's on different actors over the years, from Shah Rukh's ponytail to Aamir's recent fuzz cut, Sushmita Sen has her views on the whole trend of actors experimenting with their looks.

"It is very hard for an actor to reinvent their look," says Sushmita Sen.

"When they come to us they are looking for a style for a new character, however, we have to make sure they don't look funny," says hairdresser Dilshad Pastakia.

And who has the most stylish hairstyle in the industry?

"Your hair is very much a part of yourself. I think Akshay is quite good. Aamir, I think is the
only male actor who takes care of his hair. I think he uses Pantene," says Sushmita Sen.

Although the gathering was more about brand promotion than hair care, however, Sushmita gave some hair care tips and coming from the former Miss Universe, there could be no hair-splitting on that advice.

"It is very important to keep natural sheen and strength of your hair. Never keep your hair dirty. It is good to always keep it clean," said Sushmita.

Sush wants Sonu 'bhaisa'

Article taken from Buzz18.com

We all know actress Sushmita Sen, producer-director for Jhansi Ki Rani, has been approaching various top actors in Bollywood for a role or an item number in her film, in vain. After being refused by SRK, the actress, also playing the title role in the period film, has been trying to rope in Jodhaa Akbar fame Sonu Sood. But for another 'bhaisa' role, that of Tatya Tope. Sushmita reportedly met Sonu at a party and, impressed as she was with his performance in Jodhaa Akbar, told him, "I think you will make a good 'bhaisa' for me also."
Sonu Sood, however, is refusing to confirm the news. Looks like he's scared of being stuck in brotherly roles!

Randeep-Nandana's LOVE sutra

Three years after Mangal Pandey - The Rising, Ketan Mehta is back with Rang Rasiya - Colours of Passion. Despite all the hype surrounding Aamir Khan and his moustache that film fell short of expectations. In Rang Rasiya Mehta has gone for relatively lesser known stars like Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen. Rang Rasiya is based on a classic Indian novel – Raja Ravi Varma, written by award winning Marathi novelist Ranjit Desai. The movie has music by K3G fame Sandesh Shandilya and is produced by Mehta's wife Deepa Sahi.

Will Shahid attend this wedding?

Article taken from Buzz18.com

Now, I know this is the wedding season. And apart from all the people like Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta who are contemplating matrimony for the first time, even the people who were once-bitten-twice-shy are tying the knot for a second time. And one of these is none other than Rajesh Khattar who is planning to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Vandana Sajnani. For the uninitiated, Rajesh Khattar is Shahid Kapur's one-time stepfather. But Shahid was very close to his stepfather as a child. And the feeling is obviously reciprocal because Shahid's name is very much a part of the guest list. Wonder if Shahid will choose to put in an appearance. But one thing a little birdie told me, Rajesh and his bride (theatre personality Vandana Sajnani) would be thrilled if Shahid Kapur does put in an appearance. Let’s hope Shahid is courteous enough to do the needful.

Mallika to act in film on Christ

Source: Times News Network

Mallika Sherawat is to play the role of Jesus Christ's confidante in an American film called The Aquarian Gospel. The Australian-born Drew Heriot, director of the docu-feature, The Secret (2006), which sold the largest number of DVDs in the USA that year, is helming the film.

The Bible is silent on Christ's life between 13 and 30, and down the centuries, many theories have been constructed about what he did in these years. Among the more popular beliefs is that Christ visited Kashmir. Heriot's film chronicles Jesus's journey from Israel as a young boy, through India, Tibet, Persia, Greece and Egypt.

In the movie, he encounters people of all creeds and meets sages from different faiths. Sherawat will play Saraswati, one of Yeshua's (Jesus) loyal friends whom he bonds with while he travels through India.

The actress, who has broken taboos in the Indian film industry with bold movies such as Khwaish and Murder, feels The Aquarian Gospel also breaks a different kind of taboo by discussing the "lost years" of Jesus. Saraswati is a celibate ‘yogini' (brahmacharini)—a nice contrast for an actress known as Bollywood's Bardot.

Heriot said, "Mallika is not just a pretty face, she is versatile, has a background in philosophy, so she will convey the richness of the subject matter."

"I find that in most mythological and spiritual film stories, women seem to be lacking in any true wisdom or a sense of humour," said Sherawat. "I look forward to bringing both these qualities to this character."

The script is written by John F Sullivan and William Sees Keenan, who were inspired by two books: the best-selling book The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ, which was written by Russian anthropologist Nicholas Notovich, whose journey to Tibet uncovered ancient scrolls describing the missing years of the life of Jesus, and The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ by evangelist Levi Dowling.

Aishwarya's sweet revenge

Article taken from Buzz18.com
The actress may get to settle scores with Kareena after all

Ah! Just when you thought there is no stopping this Kapoor girl, comes this spanner in the works. I am told by my trusted friend that
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have her revenge on Kareena for being unceremoniously replaced in the now-shelved project Bajirao (meant to star Salman-Ash).
Though Bhansali never quite got to making the film with Kareena and Salman (he was willing to dump Ash but not Salman, it seems), Ash may just settle the score with her hottest rival in the industry, after so many years that is.

Remember Mani Ratnam's Lajjo? Well, for a long time, the prestigious project top lining Aamir Khan was Kareena's calling card, which she merrily plugged at all interviews when no one was willing to sign her up. Lajjo, it seems, got deferred time and again only for a new twist in the tale.
Mani Sir, as he is fondly referred to, is in good mind to replace Kareena with Aishwarya. Especially now that he has worked with her in Guru and is mighty pleased with her performance. However, the film may also see another replacement in the form of Tamil superstar Vikram (of Bheema fame). It seems Aamir asked for Rs 5 crore, which Ratnam was not comfortable paying.

So, crux of the matter is, Aishwarya, even as we speak, is reading the script for Lajjo and getting ready, perhaps for yet another tryst with her southern colleague Vikram, after Rajinikanth, that is.
Meanwhile, Bebo may just have to keep herself busy with the other projects in her kitty.
Such is the way of this world, dearies!

The actress rubbishes reports of her being kicked out of two films

By Buzz18 . Apr 09, 2008

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not amused. The actress, who is in Miami right now, reacted very strongly to two reports carried in national dailies, saying that she may have been ousted from two prestigious projects. One of them being Buddha, directed by Pan Nalin and the other being Robot, directed by Shankar, starring Rajinikant in the lead.

The publications claimed Ash may be out of Nalin's Budhha because of showing scant interest in the project and not willing to give dates for the same. On the other hand, Ash has allegedly opted out of Shankar's Robot, because it may take two years to complete, and Aishwarya is not keen to give the project as much time.

A source close to Aishwarya, speaking on her behalf, denied both the reports, saying, none of them is true. Says the source, "Both these stories are untrue. To begin with, Aishwarya met Pan Nalin, the director of Budhha only once, as he was very keen to work with her on the project. The first meeting was very formal with only a brief discussion on the character Ash is supposed to play. Nothing else."

The source further adds, "Whenever Ash agrees upon a film, the next step is sorting out the dates, time and other facts involving the project. Director Pan Nalin did not get back to Aishwarya Rai with the final script till two weeks ago. It has been just a week that she has received the bound script and now she will read the script. Considering she will be spending her first wedding anniversary with her family in Miami, she would get back to Pan after her anniversary on April 20."

The source discussed Ash's stance on the same, "The question of doing or not doing a film only happens once both the parties agree or disagree upon the project. As of now, both Pan and Ash are keen on working with each other."

Regarding the controversy surrounding Robot, this is what Ash's business manager Hari Singh has to say, "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is definitely doing Robot. It's a multi-million project involving superstar Rajinikant. And considering Mrs Bachchan is doing projects in India and Hollywood, she needs to work out her dates with Shankar, the director."

Added Ash's friend, "Most magnum opuses take time to wind up. Ash has recently completed Jodhaa Akbar which also took more than a year but the actress will work out the dates with the director and sort it out."

Both Hari Singh and Ash's associates reiterated the fact that, "Once she commits to a project she never backtracks and gives whatever time is required during production and post-production of the film."

That's all for now from Ash. For more updates on the beautiful actress, keep watching this space.

'I'm proud of my sculpted body'

Article taken from Buzz18.com

By IANS . Apr 24, 2008

The new ultra-svelte Kareena Kapoor is hogging the limelight for her dramatic weight loss for Tashan, and the actress says she is enjoying her toned physique.

Post Jab We Met, the Bollywood beauty has shed so much weight that there is a ceaseless spurt of speculative stories about her weight loss."People are saying I want to be like Victoria Beckham. I think the talk started when Saif (Ali Khan) got himself tattooed with my name. David (Beckham) had done the same for Victoria. But honestly, I'm proud of my sculpted body. It is a look that I needed for my new film Tashan," Kareena said. "But I haven't starved myself to look the way I'm looking these days. Why should I want to be like anyone else? I've done nothing drastic to myself. I do yoga religiously and I'm eating like any healthy girl, thank you."

She is amused by the numerous anorexic stories about her doing the rounds."It was written that I fainted on the sets because I've become weak. Utter rubbish! Have these people seen me in person? I look no different from the way I looked earlier. I guess I'm just happy in life and that shows. I haven't lost weight. I've just toned my physique, and that too for a role."

If Kareena is glowing, it isn't just love."I've right now entered the best phase of my career. 'Jab We Met' has for sure been a turning point."

Produced by Yash Raj Films, the ultra slick thriller Tashan is releasing Friday. Kareena teams up with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan in the movie, which also has Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles. Commenting on Tashan, she said, "We've all worked really hard on the film. Let's hope it works. After Jab We Met another hit wouldn't hurt."

'It Hurts Me To See Kareena With Saif' - Shahid

Article taken from Topnews.in

Posted October 23rd, 2007 by Ashok Rao

Former boyfriend of Kareena Kapoor 'n' Bollywood celebrity, Shahid Kapur is feeling jealous of his break-up with Kareena Kapoor.

He said, he is trying to put up, but he feels pain over the end of his love relationship with Kareena.

In an interview, Shahid said that their three-year link had finished and she was getting around with someone else.

Shahid said, “Yes, I'm single- Yes, it hurts- Yes, I will fall in love again!”

He told that it disturbs him to see photographs of Kapoor with her new flame, famous star Saif Ali Khan.

He said, “It will be dishonest to say that this doesn't affect me. I am human, it hurts to see and read this all the time. I guess I have no choice but to live and deal with it.”

Shahid stated that he wants Kareena's happiness and is trying to move on.

“I hold nothing against anybody. If I do, it will pull me down and I'm not like that,” said Shahid. “I’ll cherish the good memories of that relationship and move on. That's what I'm doing — looking at the positive side and trying to be happy.”

He has worked in 10 movies, mostly romantic films, since his debut in 2003. His movie about arranged marriages "Vivaah" — or "Marriage" — last year was a box office hit.

He works with Kareena Kapoor in a new love story, which will hit the screens this week, titled "Jab We Met" — or "When We Met."

New Delhi, October 6, 2007

Enroute to Jaipur for a game of polo, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora and her boyfriend Usman Afzal made a stopover at Delhi.

Kareena and Saif were staying together at the Imperial Hotel. Kareena's jijaji, Sunjay Kapur, played host and took the gang partying on Friday night.

The foursome and Sunjay Kapur had a quiet dinner at China Kitchen, the new place in town in one of its private rooms, to avoid prying eyes.

After dinner, they landed up in Kuki, the trendy bar in Greater Kailash 2.

Hot section Sanjay Kapur led the way to the VIP section of the Bar followed by Kareena in a black sleeveless top and skinny jeans followed by Saif in a black Moschino shirt.

Amrita and Usman were obviously tagging along. Champagne was popped and a few glasses down, Kareena started dancing. When her number from Don (Yeh mera dil) blared from the speakers, she went wild on the floor.

Throughout, she kept looking herself at the wall mirrors. Our photographer clicked Saif and Kareena hugging and kissing.

But the hawk-eyed Kareena swooped down on the photographer and snatched his camera. Saif, Sanjay and Usman joined in, kept the photographer at bay and deleted all the intimate Saif-Kareena pictures.

With his trademark triumphant smile, Saif came over to the photographer and returned the camera.

Autographs please
Next, a group of women swarmed around Kareena-Saif for autographs. Kareena was cold but Saif was friendly with the fans.

Kareena was behaving very possessively about Pataudi Jr. Even when he went to the restroom for a while, she kept asking Amrita, "But where is he?Where is he?"

Champagne down, and exiting from the backdoor, Kareena had a classic mood swing. She turned all sugar and honey with the photographer, cooing, " Saare photos delete ho gaye na? Please delete kar dena. When I'm in Delhi next, aap ko exclusive pictures doongi.

Saif chipped in, complimented the photographer for the shirt he was wearing. Saif wasn't holding Kareena's hand any more.. just in case our photographer got a mood swing himself.

Saif-Kareena to wed, post Tashan?

Friday, April 25, 2008: (Mumbai):

For all Kareena and Shahid Kapoor fans there is a reason to smile. The once in love couple will soon be seen in Boney Kapoor's Milenge Milenge.

The film has been in the making for almost two years now and is getting ready for release. Since the Shahid Kareena's first post-split film Jab We Met was such a hammer at the box office, Boney may want to cash in on Milenge Milenge as the last film to feature the two.

For almost six months, the producer has been chasing his dream pair, but now the wait is over. After months of dillydallying, Shahid and Kareena are dubbing for the film.

"Shahid, who is my neighbour, has already started dubbing for the film. Kareena will dub as soon as she returns from abroad," said Satish Kaushik, film's director.

Milenge Milenge is the Hindi version of Peter Chelsom's Serendipity. Yes, the film does have elements of Serendipity," said Kaushik.

The title suggests a touch of after life. "No, no! Milenge Milenge has got nothing to do with reincarnation. One film on that theme is more than enough," said Kaushik.

"People are looking forward to see Kareena in her new body language which she has created," said a movie buff.

"We want to see the movie for Kareena and Saif," said a Kareena fan.

"It will be a good film, Kareena is doing good work and then it has Akshay who will yet again give terrific performance," feels Kiah, a moviegoer.

But will cricket and the Indian Premier League pull people out of Tashan?

"I am sure there will be some division, some will go to IPL but then diehard movie fans surely will watch Tashan," said a movie goer.

Multiplexes are yet to start advance bookings for Tashan but many single screens like Gaiety and Sterluing are already housefull for the next three days.

Kareena's size zero phenomenon, her romance with boyfriend Saif, there are many reasons that beef up popularity for this particular film. Will it click with the audience well that can only be told when the film releases across theatres.
